The Village Hall

The Village Hall venue consists of two meeting rooms and the large Lewis Hall. The bar area and separate kitchen area both open up via shutters onto the main hall.

There is an outdoor, covered, patio area , with interior access from the hall. It has secured access to the outdoor sports facilities and playing field. This space is regularly used for BBQ’s, Hog Roasts and summer parties.

There is a reception area off the main foyer.. This area is suitable as a registration, or welcome reception area.. Washrooms including disabled and baby changing facilities are also available in the venue.

Main Hall

Meeting / Studio Rooms

Meeting room 1 is light and airy and overlooks the playing fields. It holds up to 40 people depending on the layout of the room.

Maximum 40 persons.

Meeting Room 2 / Studio Room is situated at the rear of the hall overlooking the car park. It has good access to the main hall for exhibition or conference equipment, exhibition storage or ideal for use as a conference breakout room.

It has a hardwood floor and is often used as a dance, martial arts or craft studio.

The main hall has double door access for large equipment to be installed.

Meeting Room

Kitchens

2 small kitchen areas can be used for food service and the making of beverages. These facilities are normally included in hire fees, but can be hired separately to the venue rooms if required. Ideal for external field caterers.

The main kitchen facilities include:- water urn/kettles, dishwasher, a personalised housekeeping tray which includes:- washing up liquid, tea towels, sponges, dishcloths, bin liners and sanitiser. Basic cutlery and crockery, is available to hirers and new upright refrigeration units to hold party/event foods.

Our kitchen facilities do not provide provision for cooking or heating food. We can assist in the hiring of Hog Roasts and BBQ’s for events. We do not allow the use of personal catering equipment items such as slow cookers, toasters or air fryers.

Bespoke Kitchen Hire Charge is just £10 per hour. Use of a kitchen prep area is currently included in both main hall and meeting rooms hire.

Licensed Bar

A bar service is available upon request. This service is offered through our appointed license holder. The bar area cannot currently be hired for own use. However, bottled wines and bottled beers may be considered for pre purchase for events. Each event will be discussed in full detail with the hirer.

A minimum charge of £30 will be charged for each event for the legal provision of alcohol.

A minimum of 3 hours hire for an open bar. £10 per hour over 3 hours will be charged. Licensing Laws apply, see Terms and conditions of hire.

The bar license operates from 11.00am until 11.00pm. No off-licence sales can be made prior to or after this time.

Covered Patio BBQ Area

This comprises of a secure unit ideal for summer parties, BBQ’s and Hog Roast. Or as an overflow catering area for children’s parties in the venue.

It has an AstroTurf flooring cover, is floodlit at night and has its own water and power supply.

It has internal access from the hall and a secure gate leading out onto the playing field.
